My Advice For Bella Mia's Next Intern: Written by Cate Lindstrom

Bella Mia is a vibrant, lively, passionate place focused on making shoppers happy and confident with whatever they put on. These same characteristics remain consistent through their internship program. Being an intern at Bella Mia means hands-on experience and guidance from people who truly enjoy what they do. Along with the instruction, interns will have an opportunity to use their own individual skill sets to shape their learning process. Hands on experience with marketing, branding, advertising, and the in’s and out’s of running a small business - Bella Mia fosters an environment of growth and happiness.

Hi shoppers!

This is Cate reporting on my official last day as the fall intern! As it pains me to say, I will no longer be the intern who gets to run around and experience some of the awesome tasks listed above. However, I cannot wait for what is in store for the next intern who gets the opportunity to have just as rewarding of a learning experience as I did. On that note, I would like to leave Bella Mia with some words of advice for the next Bella-To-Be Intern!

Cate’s Advice For The Next Bella Mia Intern

  1. Go- with- the- flow!

With the hustle and bustle of two crazy busy stores, sometimes you will have to divert from the original plan… and that’s okay! Keep the end goal in mind, but remember that its okay to change your course of action in order to get a task completed.

  2. Don’t be afraid to ask people if they need help

This is one tip that I do believe helped define my learning process. Asking customers if they are looking for a specific item or where they can find a certain product helped lead into further conversations. Hence, this allowed me to continue to learn about the store itself along with customer service.

  3. Talk to everyone!

And now is when I get slightly teary eyed… The Bella Mia team is seriously unbeatable. Everyone has different strengths and personalities that lead to a cohesive team of strong women (along with Warren and Ryan of course!). These girls have taught me so much about the business but as well as life. Its pretty easy to fall in love with this store, but even easier to fall in love with the people who run it! :)

  4. Share your ideas

Don’t be afraid to share your thoughts. Sometimes when I contributed my input, we were able to help structure a plan in which we both agreed would be beneficial for whatever task we were trying to tackle!

  5. Make the most of your time…

IT GOES QUICK! Again, its going to be hard not reporting to the lovely Emily D every Wednesday. That being said, I wouldn’t trade any of my experiences here for the world! I am forever grateful to be able to have spent the last three months here and had SO MUCH FUN! Future interns, soak up as much as you can, it’ll be over before you know it.

With one last wholehearted goodbye, my experience at Bella Mia will be one that I will never forget. I cannot wait to see whats in store for this wonderful business and future interns!

XOXO,
Cate
